How do I apply?
When the opportunities are published, there is detailed guidance on:
- What we are looking for in your project proposal
- How much funding is available and any match funding requirements
- How to apply
- The deadlines for the different stages of the application process
All applications are made online, using MyUfi our online grant portal.
Ufi usually uses a two-stage application process, where you first give us a summary of your idea (Stage 1), and if we think it matches the criteria of the call, we invite you to submit a more detailed, full application (Stage 2).We use external, independent assessors at each stage of the application process.

What happens if I am successful?
Applications selected for grant funding will be sent an offer letter, giving a period of time in which we will work with you to create a detailed project plan. You will be introduced to your Project Account Manager (PAM) who will sign off the plan once you are ready to start.
Once you are up and running, your PAM will meet with you monthly to check on progress and try to answer any questions you have about the funding or process. You will make monthly reports to your PAM and submit grant claims periodically based on the work you have done.
We ask you to take part in group activities with the cohort of projects that you are part of, to share experiences and provide mutual support.
At the end of the project, you will be required to complete an evaluation of the work you have done and submit a final report.
Each Funding Call will have specific information on how this process will work, depending on the length and size of the projects we fund.
