Who’s the Support Programme for?

VocTech Together

The VocTech Together Support Programme is designed for organisations working to improve skills for work in the UK, especially those who can see that technology could help, but aren’t sure how to move forward.

Is this you?

This programme is likely to be a good fit if you can say “yes” to most of the following:

  • You are trying to help people gain skills for work

  • You have a clear problem affecting your learners, workforce or community, and can show evidence that it exists

  • You can describe the impact of that problem (e.g. low completion, slow progression, lack of access)

  • You think technology could help improve the situation, but you’re not sure how

  • You don’t want to rush into buying a tool without understanding what will work

  • Or you’ve already got a tool but it’s not working properly for you

  • You would benefit from structured support to explore, test and plan confidently

And:

  • You are able to commit time over the programme (around 1 to 1.5 days per week for 10 weeks)

  • You have support from senior colleagues to take part

  • You are open to challenging your assumptions and trying new approaches

  • You are focused on addressing a practical skills challenge, rather than research or general interest activity

It doesn’t matter if you don’t think of yourself as a learning provider. If this sounds like your organisation, you’re in the right place.

Some practical examples

The following are some examples of organisations this programme is designed for. If you recognise yourself, the support programme may be for you.

What these examples have in common

While the contexts are different, the challenges are often similar. You’re likely to be a good fit if:

  • You have a clear skills or learning challenge
  • You understand the impact on your learners or workforce
  • You think technology could help, but aren’t sure how
  • You want to make better, lower-risk decisions
  • You are ready to commit time and effort to solving the problem

These are exactly the challenges the programme is designed to support.
