GoodTech Ventures showcase 22 months of tech-for-good innovation
GoodTech Ventures has released its inaugural Impact Report, showcasing the significant progress made in supporting early-stage tech-for-good ventures over the past 22 months.
The GoodTech Ventures Accelerator and Community was launched in 2023 as part of Ufi’s Strategic Partnership with Catch22, with the shared goal of unlocking digital innovation for social and public services. With Ufi’s support, Catch22 delivered the programme in partnership with Social Tech Trust and Unity Ventures, with support from Microsoft and the UK government.
Over the 22 months since its launch, the programme has delivered substantial impact across the tech-for-good sector:
- 29 early-stage tech-for-good ventures supported through three accelerator cohorts.
- 61 founders supported to help scale their digital solutions.
- £102,500 in grants awarded to 17 organisations.
- 964-member online community where founders and social impact leaders can share ideas, challenges and opportunities.
VocTech impact
The partnership with Ufi has been particularly significant, with 10 VocTech-aligned ventures receiving support and £13,000 in grants. These ventures are developing innovative solutions in workforce development and vocational education, including platforms for AI literacy, witness preparation training, and skills development for diverse learners.
One standout example is Taught By Humans, founded by Laura Gemmell, which is on a mission to make AI and data education radically more inclusive. The platform has secured £110,000 in grants and is working with FTSE 100 companies and mission-led organisations to build confidence in using AI and data.

The report demonstrates GoodTech Ventures’ commitment to continuous improvement through founder co-design and shows that founders rated the programme highly.
We’re proud to have helped lay the foundations for this community and we look forward to seeing what GoodTech Ventures achieve in their next phase.
