Ufi and six supported organisations reach Learning Technologies Awards 2025 finals
Six Ufi-supported organisations have been shortlisted for the Learning Technologies Awards 2025, alongside Ufi VocTech Trust.
The Learning Technologies Awards are the leading awards in the learning and development sector, celebrating outstanding learning technologies worldwide and attracting entries from organisations across the industry.
Four Ufi-grant funded projects and two Ufi Ventures portfolio companies have reached the 2025 finals, reflecting the innovative work and dedication of our community in advancing vocational technology to improve skills for work.
These nominations showcase the diverse and impactful ways organisations – supported by Ufi – are transforming learning experiences and outcomes.
The shortlisted Ufi-supported organisations are:
Springpod for ‘Best learning technologies project – commercial sector (UK)’.
Springpod is a careers platform giving students the opportunity to experience the world of work and university before they apply.
University of Derby for ‘Excellence in the design of learning content – public & non-profit sector’.
Their games-based learning app helps healthcare learners move into Trainee Nursing Associate apprenticeships by providing a route to better engage or re-engage with vocational education.
Totem Learning for ‘Excellence in the design of learning content – commercial sector (UK)’.
Totem are using AI, serious games and simulations to build the skills of workers in the UK rail industry.
Chrome Angel Solutions for ‘Best technology-based learning game’.
Their VR simulation game helps UK rail workers build competence and confidence when identifying security threats.
First Step Trust for ‘Best use of simulations or virtual environments for learning’.
First Step Trust are tackling the lack of confidence with written tests in the automotive sector with a VR training programme where learners gain hands-on skills in a virtual garage.
Data Literacy Academy for ‘Best learning technologies project – commercial sector (UK)’, ‘Best use of blended learning – commercial sector’ and ‘T best digital learning transformation programme’.
Data Literacy Academy provide live and on-demand training to teach employees at all levels how to engage with and benefit from the data their organisation holds, ultimately bridging the gap between data experts and business teams.

We’re also delighted that Ufi has been nominated for ‘Learning technologies organisation of the year’, recognising our commitment to supporting innovation and unlocking the full potential of vocational technology to get adults learning.
