Ufi Ventures announces investment in careers platform
Ufi Ventures has invested in the Springpod careers platform
London-based work experience service Springpod has secured a £250k investment from Ufi Ventures to accelerate its mission of transforming young people’s futures
Springpod offers students the chance to experience university and the world of work virtually before they apply, and aims to provide one million young people with access to life-changing career and university experiences within the next two years. Over 100,000 young people enrolled in Springpod’s virtual work experience programmes in the first half of 2021.
Speaking of the recent investment, Alex Bishop, Impact Investment Manager for Ufi Ventures, said:
“The work that Springpod is doing to improve the career prospects of thousands of young people is hugely important, and aligns perfectly with what Ufi Ventures wants to achieve.
“We are delighted to be supporting Springpod as it continues to grow its careers platform, providing life-changing career experiences and opportunities to even more young people. We believe the organisation will continue to go from strength to strength.”
Sam Hyams, Founder & CEO at Springpod, said:
“I am absolutely delighted that Ufi Ventures has backed Springpod and our vision to democratise access to world-class career and university experiences for every young person. The VocTech expertise and commitment to social impact that Ufi Ventures brings aligns superbly with Springpod and we are excited to work together to drive social mobility and reach our goal of supporting one million young people over the next two years.”
