Ufi Ventures invest in Gladys £1.5m round to build the UKs platform for local, trusted care.

Ufi Ventures are proud to announce our latest investment as part of a £1.5m raise for Gladys. The AI-powered platform is transforming the home care sector by directly connecting local carers and helpers with care seekers and their families, cutting out intermediaries.

Founded by former Barrister George Robinson and repeat HealthTech founder Alex Sorisi, Gladys is disrupting the home care sector with a combination of smart technology, logistics know-how, and a relentless focus on outcomes for both families and carers.

The platform matches care seekers and those with support needs to local carers and helpers, offering professional support at fairer prices. Using conversational AI the complex logistics of arranging and managing care are simplified – reducing costs, time and stress. Carers receive industry-leading pay, greater control over their work and a supportive network in which to develop – or begin – their care careers.

"Our mission is simple: support families to live better at home and give carers the pay and opportunities they deserve. We're delighted to have the support of some incredible investors who share our passion and ambition to revolutionise the sector. The raise brings together a formidable group of backers with deep expertise in health and technology, who are supporting us to drive the social impact we're aiming for."

  • Alex Sorisi, COO and Co-Founder of Gladys

“The team at Gladys are using innovative technology to address a crucially important challenge – balancing affordability and flexibility of care with appropriate recognition of care givers. By making care work more accessible, the platform is opening up opportunities for those who may not have previously considered a career in care. We look forward to supporting the team to develop their offer and watching the platform become the first choice for how care at home is booked and managed.”

  • Alex Bishop, Associate Director of Ufi Ventures

With this new funding Gladys will become a national offering, building a trusted network of local care communities across the UK.

Co-investors alongside Ufi Ventures were Cornerstone, Exceptional Ventures, Embryo Ventures, Houghton Street Ventures and Conduit Connect.
