Ufi grant assessors
Join our team of independent experts.
We are not currently looking for additional assessors.
However, if you are interested in joining our team in the future, please complete the expression of interest form below.
What’s involved?
At Ufi we run open calls for projects to apply for grants, usually twice a year. Each application is looked at by members of our pool of expert assessors, who advise how well the proposed project fits our criteria. Training is given before each round of assessment. At Stage 1 we are looking at the quality of the idea and the impact it could make. At Stage 2, we are looking at the practicalities – how it will be developed and delivered.
What sort of people are you looking for?
People in our assessment pool come from a wide variety of backgrounds – edtech, education, digital product development, project management, innovation, community development, business development, learning design… and more.
The background knowledge our assessors bring enables us to consider applications from a wide variety of perspectives and helps us spot potential. What unites us is a belief that good digital learning projects can help improve the vocational skills of the UK workforce.
What types of skills and experience are you looking for?
Ideally some or all of the following:
- Edtech
- Innovation

- Training delivery
- Current education and training landscape for adults

- Business development
Anything else I should know?
Assessment work is paid at a fixed rate for each assessment completed, and for time spent on preparation and training. We take confidentiality very seriously. Our assessors are anonymous. If chosen you will not be able to publicise your assessment role.
How do I apply?
Simply complete the form, explaining why you want to be an assessor, why you think you’d be a good fit, and upload your CV.
