The opportunity
We are looking for a new Venture Partner to join our existing team and support the continued growth of Ufi Ventures and its portfolio. Our Venture Partners bring specialist expertise, networks and practical experience to help source, assess and support high-potential businesses, complementing the Ufi Ventures team with additional capacity, expertise and sector insight.
What sort of people are we looking for?
We are particularly interested in individuals with:
- Senior operating and/or venture investing experience.
- Strong networks across skills, workforce development, future of work, HR technology or related sectors.
- Experience supporting founders through growth, fundraising and scaling.
- Board or governance experience.
- Alignment with Ufi’s mission and values.
What does the role involve?
Work as a Venture Partner will include:
- Providing strategic and operational support to portfolio companies.
- Acting as a board observer on behalf of Ufi Ventures.
- Providing a quarterly written update on assigned portfolio businesses to drive informed decision-making.
- Facilitating introductions to customers, partners, investors and advisers.
- Supporting investment sourcing, screening and due diligence.
- Contributing specialist insight and challenge during investment decision-making.
- Generating high-quality dealflow aligned to Ufi’s investment thesis.
- Represent Ufi Ventures within the wider skills, technology and investment ecosystem.
Time commitment
- Typically 1–2 days per month, with flexibility around key investment, portfolio and event activity.
- Participation in quarterly portfolio review sessions, Ventures Advisory Committee meetings and key Ufi Ventures events, including the annual Portfolio Day, Ufi VocTech Showcase and All-Hands meeting.
- Attendance at selected portfolio company board meetings as a board observer or Ufi representative, where appropriate.
- Ad hoc support on portfolio company challenges and strategic introductions.
