Ufi and Association of Colleges announce multi-year Strategic Partnership

Ufi VocTech Trust has agreed a landmark partnership with the Association of Colleges (AoC) to unlock the potential of learners across the country by supporting innovation in how digital tools and approaches are used in further education (FE) colleges.

Vocational technology (VocTech) is dramatically changing how skills are developed in FE colleges. From using virtual reality to teach social care, to AI supporting teachers with lesson planning or providing student support, VocTech offers unique opportunities for learning, engagement, and workforce preparation.

However, the adoption of technology within FE colleges is uneven, creating gaps that could have long-term effects on learners, communities, and regional economies.

AoC and Ufi’s multi-year strategic partnership aims to build capacity and confidence in the use of VocTech across FE colleges, by embedding behaviours and strategies that can support innovation in how tech is used to enhance teaching, learning, and business support.

The first output from the partnership is a survey designed to examine how AoC members are currently using technology.

Insights from the survey will help to shape the direction of the partnership, ensuring its work responds to the needs of colleges and their students.
