Gabrielle is Ufi's Chief Operating Officer, overseeing our day-to-day operations including IT, Finance, HR, legal and governance work, and our evaluation and impact programmes.
Gabrielle was previously Finance Director from 2016 to 2024.
I am a Chartered Accountant and specialised in charity accounting from the start of my career. Once qualified, I moved into the finance departments of charities and have worked with a wide variety, from addiction support, international development and sport, animal and wildlife charities to prisoner rehabilitation through radio. Ufi has brought new challenges, unlike the other organisations I have worked for being non-fundraising, and through the development of Ufi Ventures and the management of the investment portfolio.
I have worked with other grant giving organisations but am really proud of the unique support Ufi offers its' grantees, with so much expert advice to hand in our close knit network.
While I don't have a back ground in digital technology, I don't think many people would fail to recognise its' importance in the future of education and training, especially having been through the pandemic with children home schooling!
