John is a Venture Partner at Ufi Ventures and an experienced business development professional, technologist and entrepreneur. He is a pioneer of e-learning having led the team to develop and deploy Microsoft’s first global online learning system back in 1999.
As ‘Entrepreneur in Residence’ at the University of Birmingham, Energy Institute and Innovation Birmingham, John has personally supported over 500 entrepreneurs in the last eight years, and delivers entrepreneurship workshops and mentoring to student entrepreneurs, academics and founders of businesses.
John founded Element-C to help businesses develop growth strategies, commercialise products, identify the right business model and implement systems to support growth. He is currently an investor and Non-Executive Director in three technology businesses and provides strategy consulting to a number of established businesses in the UK and USA.
