Learner stories

Hull College

Hull College are using AI translation tools to support learners for whom English is not their first language. Their award-winning approach has been instrumental in making all learners feel welcome and able to fully participate not only in their College curriculum but more widely in working, social and community life.

Hull are providing a demonstration of their work at the Ufi VocTech Showcase on Thursday 20th March 2025.

Assistiv

Discover how Ufi-supported organisation, Assistiv, are using vocational technology to help adults with learning disabilities enter and prosper in the workplace.

The First Step Trust

The First Step Trust uses technology to help people get the skills they need for work. Supported by grant funding from Ufi VocTech Trust their innovative person-centred approach is removing barriers to learning and providing real opportunities.

AutonoMe

AutonoMe, working alongside employer Strawberry Line, is helping learners gain and maintain paid employment.

Bolton College

Explore how Bolton College is improving the learning experience and outcomes for students through the innovative use of vocational technology. In this video we hear about ADA, Bolton's AI-powered campus digital assistant; and FirstPass, their platform to support the formative assessment of open-ended questions. Both projects were supported by grant funding and enrichment support from the Ufi VocTech Trust.
