Whitehat Becomes Multiverse
News by Stephen Hinde, Community Manager for Ufi VocTech Trust
Ufi would like to congratulate Multiverse (formerly Whitehat) on their recent news which includes a $44m Series B [1] funding round and also going global.
Multiverse's mission is to accelerate incredible careers and were founded to ensure young people have access to the best career-focused apprenticeships on offer.
Ufi VocTech Trust first worked with Multiverse during the VocTech Impact 2017 funding call when they were reducing apprenticeship dropout rates by developing a machine learning tool called Careerhacker.ai that better matched apprentice with employers.
In 2020, despite Covid-19, Multiverse tripled the number of apprentices they train and added some of the world's best companies as new clients.
Euan Blair, Founder & CEO at Multiverse, said:
This is an incredibly exciting time to be involved in using technology to transform education so that we fundamentally change who gets access to the very best careers.
Ufi’s support and funding was a valuable addition to growth at Multiverse - it helped us as we develop ways to improve outcomes for apprentices and build a true alternative to the one-size fits all model of university and corporate training.
Richard Male, Project Account Manager for Multiverse's Ufi-funded project in 2017, added:
Congratulations to everyone involved in Multiverse’s journey on such an amazing achievement.
I remember working with the team in the early days of the Ufi-supported project and quickly signed up to their vision and everything they were trying to achieve.
I’m stunned at just how far Multiverse have grown in such a short space of time, their relentless pursuit of their vision and a mission has got its rewards with backing from some major global investors
