Adult skills for a just transition: How can tech help?
How can we harness the potential of learning technology and digital tools to support a just transition to a fairer, greener Scotland?
Acquiring and improving skills is key to Scotland securing good, high-value jobs in new and existing sectors to support a just transition. At Ufi VocTech Trust, we support organisations across Scotland and the rest of the UK to develop technology that will improve adult vocational education. We focus on supporting individuals, sectors and geographies that are furthest from mainstream provision who, arguably, are at the heart of the ambition to create a fairer Scotland.
This event will provide an opportunity to join thought leaders, practitioners, and policy makers from across Scotland to discuss how we can better use tech-enabled learning to improve the skills that are necessary to securing the just transition. Ufi will also bring together a selection of the organisations we’ve supported to showcase the innovative ways technology is already helping learners prepare for a fairer, greener Scotland.
Join us in Edinburgh for a panel discussion, lunch, networking session and showcase.
The event will also provide a forum to discuss VocTech Activate, our open grant call supporting early-stage approaches tackling vocational learning challenges.
If you are involved in improving skills for work - whether in a community, local government, educational or business setting - we hope you will join us to make new connections, strengthen existing relationships and explore the funding and expertise Ufi can provide to improve skills for work across Scotland.
We look forward to meeting you.
