Seven Ufi-supported organisations reach the Learning Technologies Awards 2024 finals
Congratulations to the seven Ufi-supported organisations that have been shortlisted for Learning Technologies Awards 2024.
The Learning Technologies Awards celebrate outstanding commitment, enthusiasm and passion for learning technologies across the world. Finalists were selected by an independent panel of judges organised by the Learning Network. The winners of this year's awards will be announced at the gala evening on 13 November in London.
Five Ufi-grant funded organisations and two Ufi Venture portfolio companies have reached the finals for this year's awards. We are incredibly proud and thrilled to have supported these organisations in developing vocational technologies to get more adults learning. Each organisation is making remarkable progress in helping to unlock the full potential of technology to transform how adults learn and gain skills for work.
The shortlisted Ufi-supported organisations include:
CAPSLOCK for Excellence in the design of learning content - commercial sector (UK). CAPSLOCK removes barriers to reskilling in high demand sectors, enabling those looking to retrain to access quality work, without having to pay a penny until they’ve landed a high-paying job.
Into Games for Best use of social and collaborative learning technologies for their Ufi-supported programme, Next Level Up. Their online training programme supports game programmers, artists and designers to create world-class portfolio pieces while developing employability skills like teamwork, critical analysis and collaboration to help them secure their first jobs in the sector.
TeacherMatic and Klik2Learn have both been shortlisted for Most innovative new learning technologies product (UK). The TeacherMatic platform is one of Europe’s fastest growing generative AI toolsets for teachers. Klik2Learn has developed 3D simulations to help healthcare professionals gain clinical and communication skills for non-native English speakers.
Care Reality for Best use of simulations or virtual environments for learning for their Ufi-supported learning platform, FLO. This project has developed an immersive learning environment to help time-poor care workers to gain skills for work.
Data Literacy Academy for Best use of blended learning - commercial sector. Their learning platform provides clients and their employees with access to live and on-demand data literacy training.
Hull College shortlisted for two awards - Best use of social and collaborative learning technologies and Best digital learning transformation programme. Ufi have supported Hull College with their AI Translate project, a new approach using live translation, in multiple languages, to help build vocational language skills during digital and construction courses.
We wish the best of luck to all the shortlisted organisations for this year's award finals.
